Plot Twist: The Parables of Jesus
and the Upside-Down Kingdom of God
When Jesus wanted to make a point about God and God’s Kingdom, he told stories. These tales were often surprising, sometimes unsettling parables that turned expectations upside down and left people thinking for days.
Come join Pastor Ryan for a four-evening adult VBS experience exploring eight of Jesus’ parables — from the beloved to the baffling. Each night we’ll sit together with two stories, dive deep, ask hard questions and hopefully discover what the Kingdom of God looks like when Jesus describes it. We may think we know these stories. We might be surprised!
Day 1 — The Good Samaritan + The Sower
Day 2 — The Prodigal Son + The Lost Sheep
Day 3 — The Dishonest Manager + Rich Man and Lazarus
Day 4 — The Pharisee & Tax Collector + The Talents
Come as you are—no prior Biblical knowledge required. Come learn, connect, and let these ancient and holy stories speak into our lives together!
Message from Our Project Implementation Team
If you were unable to join an in-person or virtual forum to hear important information about the exciting possibilities ahead for Redeemer, we recorded our virtual forum held on June 2, 2026. We discuss options to renew our Education and Ministry parts of our church building. There are handouts and response forms available in the church office and in the narthex. If you are unable to pick them up, please call the church office at 843-571-6655, and we will mail them to you.
