Sing & Celebrate

Children’s Choir | Ages K-5th grade

(Age Exceptions and siblings are welcome)
The Basics

Sing and Celebrate is a children’s choir that meets every Sunday (except the 1st of the month) 11:45-12:15.  We learn anthems for worship, learn about the bible and our worship service, sing silly songs, dance a little, play a few instruments, and generally CELEBRATE God’s love through SINGING. In rehearsals we:

  • Develop our musical gifts.
  • Learn more about participating in worship.
  • Experience the wholesome joy of creating music together.
  • Experiment with instruments and dance.
  • Pray together.
  • Develop relationships based around our shared love of God.

Worship Calendar

How often does S&C sing in church?

This year, the choir will sing most months of the school year including Christmas Eve,  and Easter Sunday.  This year our Christmas Pageant will be at 10:30AM December 20.  We will do selections from the pageant at the Early Christmas Eve service.

What Is it like when S&C “leads” worship?

The choir comes to the children’s choir room after Sunday School to sing at the 10:30 service. We are working toward sitting as a group, utilizing hymnals and bulletins in worship, and singing a song behalf of the congregation.

How often does S&C Practice?

This year, we will practice every Sunday from 11:45-12:15 except the 1st Sunday of the month when we go to Redeemer Kids’ Connection.  Keep your calendar up-to-date by watching the weekly bulletin and subscribing to our TeamReach group.

Need Any Help?

Yes!!! We need at least 2 parents to help during rehearsal and 4 when we sing in church. Helpers:

  • Sit with us when we lead worship.
  • Help us remain focused in rehearsal.
  • Help with special events like lunch after the Christmas Pageant rehearsal.
