Ashlyn Cox

Deacon Ashlyn grew up in Little Mountain, S.C., and has experience as a Lutheridge counselor, youth director, preschool teacher, parish administrator, and children’s summer program director. She was commissioned in 2016 after receiving her Master of Arts in Christian Ministries from Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Following seminary, she was called to Grace Lutheran Church in Gilbert, S.C. (Director of Christian Education and Fellowship) and then took a new call to Holy Spirit, Charleston, (Director of Faith Formation) when her family moved to Charleston area. She began serving as Redeemer’s Deacon of Faith Formation in June 2024.

Ashlyn’s husband, Elliott, is the Resident Director and Director of Marketing for the South Carolina Lutheran Retreat Centers at Coastal Retreat on the Isle of Palms. They are the proud parents of three children, Carson, Lily, and Micah.
