The Basics
Sing and Celebrate is a children’s choir ( kids K-5th grade, exceptions and siblings welcome) that will meet Sundays at 11:30-12:15. We learn anthems for worship, learn about the bible and our worship service, sing silly songs, dance a little, play a few instruments, and generally CELEBRATE God’s love through SINGING. In rehearsals we:
- Develop our musical gifts.
- Learn more about participating in worship.
- Experience the wholesome joy of creating music together.
- Experiment with instruments and dance.
- Pray together.
- Develop relationships based around our shared love of God.
Worship Calendar

FAQ's
About once a month during the school year or once during a liturgical season. The exception is Christmas where we work together in Sunday School on a Christmas Pageant presented at the early Christmas Eve service.
The choir comes to the children’s choir room after Sunday School to sing at the 10:30 Sunday service. They wear choir robes, sit together with hymnals, bulletins, and adult helpers and sing a song on behalf of the congregation.
We tend to put kids in the box, “So Cute” when they sing in church. But when we sing in church, we are more than entertainment; we are worship leaders.
Robes help us identify in our group and help us prepare for that role. Our congregation focuses more on the group’s sound and message and less on the “cute” attire of the singers. We hope that, while being inspired by the youth of the singers, you are also touched by our music and message.
We practice most Sundays. Keep your calendar up-to-date by watching the weekly bulletin and subscribing to our TeamReach group.
Absolutely! We need at least 2 parents to help during rehearsal and 4 when we sing in church. Helpers:
- Play instruments
- Sit with us when we lead worship.
- Help us put robes on and hang them up correctly.
- Help us remain focused in rehearsal.
- Help with special events like lunch after the Christmas Pageant rehearsal.
Fear not! All of this is available in the TeamReach App and on the google drive. Deacon Katie can also email it all to you again. 🙂
